The formulation includes surfactant cleaners for pre-cleaning and an anti-rust agent for material compatibility. Glutaraldehyde’s stability at a slightly acidic pH enhances its sporicidal efficacy while minimizing damage. It polymerizes slowly, killing dried spores within 2 minutes.
